The Kempinski Young Artist Programme was established in 2009 for the purpose of supporting young talents in arts and culture. Our focus is on classical music and visual arts, two of the most powerful art forms worldwide. Both of these speak without words and transcend cultural barriers.
The mission of the programme is to join with arts institutions around the world to increase cultural awareness, to further international education in cross-cultural studies and to fulfill Kempinski’s commitment to the highest social standards by connecting hospitality and culture. The Classical Music Fellowship serves the needs of the recipient in a flexible and suitable programme from appropriate options such as full funding for one year of academic study, summer schools, master
classes and specialized studies.
The Visual Arts Fellowship consists of a two month ‘Artist in Residency’ in a Kempinski hotel outside the recipient’s native country that is appropriate to his/her proposed project. It is designed to give young artists experience in a foreign environment with full financial support and to provide public exposure of artists’ works in locations otherwise unavailable to them.
“My Polish Diary,” featuring 2012 Fellow Kiryl Keduk, is the second in the Kempinski Young Artist Programme CD series. It was produced in cooperation with Radio Berlin Brandenburg.
