David Reynolds reviews Kristian Benedikt‘s Delos debut recording, Tenore di Forza in the September/October 2019 issue of American Record Guide:
“Kristian Benedikt is a clarion, call-to-arms type of tenor that we are in sore need of right now. … His top notes ring out massively and, I suspect, are even more effective in the house, where they would have greater room to resonate. He sings excerpts from most of his stage roles here … [and] I would be happy to hear the tenor in the opera house in any of these roles. … Modestas Pitrenas leads the Lithuanian Symphony very well and is a worthy partner for Benedikt. The Ponchielli and Klovas selections, by the way, are quite beautiful and make me want to hear the entire operas.”
