Buffalo News gives Amorisms 3/4 Stars in a review titled Paul Moravec shows why he won the Pulitzer:
“Moravec is a composer of near-total charm and appeal. The 2014 choral piece ‘Amorisms’ is a ballet setting of ‘five Shakespearean aphorisms about love’ (‘the course of true love never did run smooth.’) The Pulitzer-winning “Tempest Fantasy” is a quartet piece for violin, cello, clarinet and piano and, as indicated, a “a musical meditation” on Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest.’ The final choral piece ‘Sacred Love Songs’ adapts four biblical texts as well as the meditation ‘commonly known as a prayer of St. Francis.’” —Jeff Simon, Buffalo News
