Film Music Blog's "Delos Recording of the Month" – Holst's Planets

Film Music: The Neglected Art wrote an interesting review comparing an arrangement of Holst’s The Planets for two pianos to the original orchestral version. The orchestral recording Mr. Kiefner refers to is our release “Dallas Space Spectacular.” The release is from our VRR series, and features the Andrew Litton conducting the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

From Film Music: The Neglected Art –

“Before you listen to this recording you owe it to yourself to hear the orchestral version. The Delos recording with Andrew Litton conducting the Dallas Symphony Orchestra is well played, recorded, and also includes a second disc of “Also Sprach Zarathustra,” making this an excellent value.”
