Introducing iDuo!
At the end of this month we will be releasing a phenomenal album from two extremely talented young artists who together go by the name “iDuo.”
iDuo came into being in 2007, when the brilliant young pianists Andrey Gugnin and Vadym Kholodenko combined their skills as soloists to form a vibrant new piano duo! In the duo’s first year of concerts they became prizewinners at the 2008 San Marino International Piano Competition!
But, even beyond the performers, their first recording (together) with Delos will be one you won’t want to miss! The album includes the rarely-heard Rachmaninoff Op. 11 Suite, Debussy’s well-loved “Petite Suite,” Ravel’s colorful and exciting “Rapsodie Espagnole” and “Mother Goose” suite! You can’t not have a good time listening to this album!
If the name Andrey Gugnin sounds familiar to you, don’t worry because it should. Andrey Gugnin also recorded Shostakovich’s Piano Concertos No. 1 & 2, and Nine Preludes with Constantine Orbelian and the Moscow Chamber Orchestra (DE 3366)!
