Candid shots from a pre-recording rehearsal in Santa Monica for the song cycle “Four Poems of Marina Tsvetaeva,” a collaboration between composer Mark Abel and translator Alyssa Dinega Gillespie, chair of the Russian Department at Bowdoin College. The musicians are the renowned soprano Hila Plitmann, pianist and Delos label director Carol Rosenberger, and Sarah Beck, English hornist for the LA Opera Orchestra and Santa Barbara Symphony.
