One of the characters in composer Mark Abel’s new opera Home Is A Harbor is “Lance,” a soldier who fought in the Afghanistan war. Since the opera spotlights the struggles of the wounded veteran upon his return from the war, Mark Abel and Delos wanted to donate a portion of the profits from Home Is A Harbor to a local veteran’s organization, American Legion Cathay Post No. 384.
