Born in Tehran, Ranjbaran came to the US in 1974 and attended both Indiana University and Juilliard. With compositions for Joshua Bell and RenZe Fleming, his international reputation has flourished. Global interest in classical Persian art and music drives the interest in this important debut. Ranjbaran’s rich orchestrations, exciting rhythms and powerful climaxes are balanced by lyricism and a delicate beauty.
