We have another outstanding release coming out next week that we’ve been bursting to tell you about!
Cherry Rhodes at the Kimmel Center is a festive inaugural recital featuring the dynamic organist Cherry Rhodes. The recording features the Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ, Dobson Opus 76, in the Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. This recital is a fantastic mix of organ music featuring works from Bach to 20th Century composer Clarence Mader. The program was planned to introduce the instrument and its wide range of colors.
Cherry Rhodes’ biography reads like a concert organist’s fantasy — or wildest dream — of accomplishments and accolades. From a young age, she has been performing all over the world with legendary conductors, in fabled cathedrals and in the most prestigious concert halls! Cherry Rhodes is currently a Professor of Organ at the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California.
