“When I listened to The Cave of Wondrous Voice, I was absolutely entranced by the lyricism and your ability to create these marvelous strands of melody. It’s just gorgeous.”
—Rob Kennedy, WCPE
North Carolina’s “Research Triangle” – the area encompassing Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill – is home to WCPE (theclassicalstation.org). A non-commercial, independent, listener-supported station attracting 137,000 listeners in its home region and many more worldwide through streaming, WCPE has since 1982 devoted itself to delivering classical music programming around the clock.
Longtime station host Rob Kennedy recently devoted an hourlong segment of his program My Life in Music to the work of Delos composer Mark Abel. The show includes tracks from several of Abel’s albums and covers a good chunk of his life’s involvement with music, going as far back as childhood days.
