A major part of the excitement around our new release “Love is Everywhere: Selected Songs of Margaret Ruthven Lang“, is our excitement to bring the music of this fantastic composer back into the spotlight. Margaret Ruthven Lang is probably one the most important women in American music, but is much less well known than her contemporaries like Amy Marcy Beach. We could tell you more about her here, but we’ve got a video that really says it much better. We can’t take all the credit for this video, as the images and text come from a recital presentation that the artists Donald George and Lucy Mauro put together for a lecture and performance.
