Engineer’s Choice, Vol. 2
Recording Engineer John Eargle picks his favorite demo tracks.

This CD is a celebration of great music and great sound. It consists of 22 selections, each a complete musical miniature in itself. Most are excerpts from larger works, but always taken within a natural musical context. Many of the examples have been edited for shorter playing times so that more items could be included. Liner notes include a running musical and technical commentary by John Eargle.

Repertoire includes: * Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture (excerpt) * Bennett: Barcarolle * Bizet/Shchedrin: Carmen Ballet * Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 (excerpt) * Shostakovich: Symphony No. 8, 3rd movement, Allegro (excerpt) * Mussorgsky: Dream of the Peasant Gritzko (excerpt) * Fraser: Peter Pan, The Mermaid’s Lagoon (excerpt) * Berlioz: Te Deum, Te Deum/Judex crederis (excerpts)
