It’s Alias Chamber Ensemble Week, and to kick it off, here is some feedback from some iTunes customers:
Can’t describe it- you just have to listen!
by El Grillo
The playing is superb and expertly recorded (no easy task given some of the instrument combinations) and the music is like nothing I’ve ever heard, though it often feels familiar and somehow comforting. I don’t know much about Kenji Bunch, but whomever he is, he seems to have come along at just the right time and solved the issue of effectively combining musical influences in a way that really works.
If you’re looking for music that’s listener-friendly without being dumbed down, sincere and expressive without being schlocky, and just plain fun and grooving- and played really well, give this CD a listen!
Accessible and real
by Fiddlexela
This album is completely enjoyable and refreshing to listen to–the music reflects a wonderful variety of inspirations; some longing, some danceable. The musicians of ALIAS bring incredible energy and fantastic playing to these tracks!
